How Do You Make Web3 Governance Feel Effortless? DAOs are the future of community-led decision-making. But let’s face it—most governance tools are clunky, confusing, and hard to use. Luma DAO wanted to change that. Their goal? Create a dashboard that makes it easy for anyone in the community to propose ideas, vote, and manage funds—without needing to be a Web3 expert.
Can You Make Complex Governance Feel Simple? My mission was to design a dashboard that: ✅ Makes proposal creation and voting feel natural ✅ Simplifies crypto fund management ✅ Increases transparency and trust ✅ Drives more community participation ✅ This wasn’t just about design—it was about building confidence for users navigating decentralized systems.
What Did I Actually Design? I approached this project with one clear idea: Make the experience so smooth that users don’t even feel the complexity underneath. Here’s how I made it happen: ✅ User Flow Mapping: I broke down each governance task (like creating a proposal or voting) and made sure the steps were logical and easy to follow. ✅ Minimalist UI: Clean layout, clear CTAs, and well-labeled components. Everything designed to reduce friction. Dashboard Features I Designed: ✅ Proposal Builder: Submit ideas with ease—step-by-step, no guesswork. ✅ Voting Interface: Visual, simple, and transparent. See results in real-time. ✅ Fund Tracker: Community members can view balances, transactions, and allocations. ✅ Wallet Integration: Connect, act, and track—all from one place. ✅ Feedback Loops: I tested early with DAO contributors and used their feedback to refine the flow and usability.
What Happened After Launch? The dashboard transformed the way the community participated: ✅ Proposal submissions increased ✅ Voting rates jumped ✅ Users felt more involved and empowered ✅ Admins could easily track and manage treasury funds The clean design gave users confidence to take action.
