Can a Digital Product Make People Feel Connected to the World Around Them? GeoTela had a powerful vision: “Every land has a voice.” But the challenge was turning that idea into a product that feels emotional, fun, and easy to use—especially for kids, families, and explorers. The experience needed to feel magical, not technical. Users had to immediately understand the value without being overwhelmed by features.
What Was My Goal in This Project? I was responsible for designing both the GeoTela mobile app and the marketing landing page. My goals were to: ✅ Create an emotional and memorable user experience ✅ Make learning feel playful and rewarding ✅ Design an intuitive app flow for all age groups ✅ Build a strong visual identity that feels magical and modern ✅ Clearly communicate GeoTela’s value on the landing page ✅ Ensure consistency across product and marketing
How Did I Bring GeoTela to Life? I followed a user-first, experience-driven design process. ✅ Discovery & Research I worked closely with the product vision to understand GeoTela’s core promise: turning real-world places into interactive stories. I explored inspiration from products like Duolingo and Pokémon—focusing on engagement, rewards, and emotional connection. ✅ User Experience & Structure I mapped user flows around exploration: Discovering a place Unlocking stories Earning rewards Feeling progress and curiosity The experience was designed to feel simple, exciting, and addictive. ✅ Visual Design & UI I designed a vibrant, friendly interface using: Clear typography for readability Playful visuals to spark curiosity Subtle animations to make interactions feel alive The UI was crafted to feel welcoming for kids, yet engaging for adults. ✅ Landing Page Design I designed the GeoTela landing page to tell a story: What GeoTela is Why it matters How it transforms exploration The layout guides users naturally from curiosity to understanding, using clear copy and strong visuals. ✅ Prototyping & Testing Using Figma, I created interactive prototypes and supported testing with feedback tracked in Google Sheets. Insights from testing helped refine navigation, clarity, and interaction patterns.
What Was the Result? The final designs delivered a strong and cohesive experience: ✅ A mobile app that feels fun, emotional, and easy to use ✅ A landing page that clearly communicates GeoTela’s value ✅ Strong alignment between product design and brand story ✅ A design system ready to scale as features expand ✅ A product experience that encourages daily engagement and exploration GeoTela now has a visual and experiential foundation that supports its long-term vision.
